Tempo is a layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for stablecoins and real-world payments, born from Stripe’s experience in global payments and Paradigm’s expertise in crypto tech.

Tempo’s payment-first design provides a scalable, low-cost predictable backbone that meets the needs of high-volume payment use cases. Our goal is to move money reliably, cheaply, and at scale. Our north star is simplicity for users: fintechs, traditional banks, merchants, platforms, and anyone else looking to move their payments into the 21st century.

We're building Tempo with design partners who are global leaders in AI, e-commerce, and financial services: Anthropic, Coupang, Deutsche Bank, DoorDash, Mercury, Nubank, OpenAI, Revolut, Shopify, Standard Chartered, Visa, and more.

We’re a team of crypto-optimists, building the infrastructure needed to bring real, substantial economic flows onchain. Our team primarily works in-person out of our San Francisco and NYC offices. We like to move fast and swing for the fences — join us!

The Role

We are looking for a Solutions Architect to embed directly with our enterprise design partners and help bring a broad set of stablecoin use cases to life on Tempo.

This is a highly technical, customer-facing role where you will bridge the gap between Tempo’s platform capabilities and the unique requirements of each partner.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate deeply with design partners to architect stablecoin use cases and bring solutions to life. Serve as the “go-to” technical expert in customer engagements

  • Lead implementation design, evaluating tradeoffs and guiding partners on architecture tradeoffs

  • Guide third-party infrastructure integrations when needed, with a strong understanding of partner APIs and ecosystem services. As part of this, you’ll be building close relationships with a broad partner ecosystem

  • Act as a bridge between Tempo’s product / engineering teams and design partners, helping customers integrate key features that make Tempo unique for stablecoin use cases

  • Influence and steer Tempo product roadmap by sharing by customer feedback on key features

Qualifications

  • Experience: 7+ years in solutions architecture, forward deployed engineering, or customer success engineering in enterprise, blockchain, and financial services contexts

  • Blockchain Knowledge: Deep expertise with blockchain concepts, protocols, and applications - you’re using blockchain and stablecoin apps regularly

  • Technical Depth: Hands-on experience designing or implementing complex systems with APIs, integrations, and distributed systems

  • Customer Orientation: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with executives, architects, and developers at partner organizations

Attributes

  • High motor

  • Razor-sharp thinker with precise command of language

  • Concise, evidence-based communicator

  • Excellent organizational and logistical skills

  • Intense curiosity and open-mindedness

  • Scrappiness; willingness to roll up sleeves
