Company

Founded in 2018 by CPAs, tax attorneys, and software developers, TaxBit is creating an entirely new category to enable widespread compliant adoption of digital assets for the global economy. TaxBit’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform streamlines and automates customers’ tax reporting and accounting activities for digital assets.

Trusted by leading crypto, tech, and traditional enterprises, Big 4 accounting firms, and government agencies (including the IRS), TaxBit solves compliance challenges at scale amidst an ever-evolving regulatory landscape. TaxBit is backed by leading Silicon Valley VCs with teams located in New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, Salt Lake City, and Washington, D.C.

As a TaxBit Public Sector Account Executive, you’ll drive our future revenue growth engine by building relationships with prospective Government organizations, and turning them into referenceable TaxBit customers.

For this role, we’re looking for an accomplished and experienced solution seller with a proven track record of success selling into complex government organizations and navigating complex procurement processes. Our Account Executives for the public sector will establish and foster relationships within our government and law enforcement customers and will help evangelize TaxBit’s Public Sector Solutions in a compelling way. Ideally you have extensive experience in crypto criminal investigations, AML, and law enforcement use cases to complement our team’s strong tax and accounting expertise.

We expect you’re an adept salesperson, capable of engaging in technical conversations at multiple levels of government organizations. You’re experienced building value in competitive situations and enjoy working on products that combine deep product understanding and technical knowledge. You get excited about prospecting and driving pipeline creation, and you’re capable of independently leading a sales cycle from start to finish. Finally, you enjoy building—you’ll actively participate in the development of TaxBit’s sales process, the articulation of our value proposition, and the creation of key tools and assets.

This role is ideal for an outcome-oriented seller who is excited to work collaboratively across functions and enjoys the challenges that come with winning deals in an emerging industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own a named account list, build pipeline, and develop account plans for winning and expanding business with Government Agencies
  • Understand and sell our highly technical solutions across sectors including US Governments and potentially international government agencies too
  • Develop outbound strategies to create and nurture opportunities
  • Drive the full sales cycle from lead to close
  • Identify key leaders and decision makers within targeted accounts and ensure solution design has end-to-end view; build opportunities for future expansion of interconnected business processes after initial sale
  • Demonstrate a commitment for customer success throughout the sales process and after sales closure; ensure successful handoff to Customer Success and Implementation teams with a clearly documented deployment plan
  • Engage with Product and Engineering teams to help drive product strategy

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years in B2B SaaS sales focused on customers and prospects in Government Agencies (tax revenue agency / IRS experience highly desired)
  • Ability to expand our relationships in the Law Enforcement Community through strategic business development for TaxBit Products.
  • Proven track record of selling procurement or compliance solutions to government agencies and/or financial institutions/regulators.
  • Track record of top performance and a history of carrying and exceeding an account sales quota
  • Ability to understand complex technical requirements, craft solutions across multiple products, and sell across multiple business units across complex organizations
  • Skilled at execution through and with Government Systems Integrators
  • Ability to operate in a collaborative, highly ambiguous, and fast-paced environment and to maintain a high level of productivity, manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints
  • Strong interest in technology and a deep understanding of the financial and regulatory sector in Government
  • Accounting and/or tax-compliance background desired but not required
