Frontend Engineer
Sorella Labs
Join us as a Frontend Engineer at Sorella Labs, where you will lead development in building all user-facing interfaces. This role is ideal for those with expertise in creating engaging, intuitive websites and applications that flow logically and are visually compelling.
This full-time role is open to remote candidates, with a preference for in-person collaboration based in our Soho, Manhattan office.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the architecture and design of our web applications, actively structuring the user experiences for our DEX protocol and for a first-of-its-kind, programmable MEV data platform
- Build and maintain all visual and logical web and mobile components for our landing pages, application frontends, and internal portals, across major devices and browsers
- Collaborate with our entire team to ensure seamless connection between our backend and frontend systems and implementation of new features
- Write and maintain comprehensive unit tests and documentation
- Identify, analyze, and resolve performance bottlenecks and inefficiencies in our codebases
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain current and competitive
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in developing frontends with modern frameworks and technologies such as Next.js and Tailwind CSS
- Proficiency in building REST APIs, optimally structuring SQL queries, and integrating other JavaScript libraries into frontend applications
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tooling
- Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and principles
- Ability to contribute effectively in an asynchronous work environment, both as part of a team and independently
- A strong passion for maintaining a high standard of code quality
Nice to Haves
- A basic understanding of and interest in Ethereum and Web3, with experience building dApp frontends
- Skilled in HTML canvas manipulation (p5.js) and/or custom map building (Mapbox GL)
- Familiarity making visually-intuitive dashboards, graphs, and charts from complex datasets
Compensation
$150-200k base + equity
This is an expected compensation range but may vary depending on level of experience.
