About the Position

Fireblocks is a fast-growing VC-backed startup focused on securing and transferring digital assets across public and private blockchains. We’re on a mission to enable every business worldwide to securely and efficiently support digital assets and cryptocurrencies.

The Data Analytics team’s mission is to empower Fireblocks with data through analysis, operational insights, strategic initiatives, and decision-making. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tableau professional to manage our Tableau environment which includes leading our Tableau adoption, defining and enforcing work methodologies, implementing new features, owning the infrastructure and its performance, and working on reporting and data initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to play a critical role in training users and promoting a data-driven culture across the organization.


To do well in this role, you must be very technical and up-to-date with modern analytics technology. You should have strong analytical skills, Tableau online/server admin, development and training experience, and the ability to communicate well with other teams in the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, data analysts, and engineers in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects at once.


Responsibilities:


  1. Tableau Administration:

  • Manage and maintain Tableau Server and Desktop environments.

  • Implement best practices for user access, security, data sources, catalogue, and content management.

  • Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.

  • Own the Tableau infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and disaster recovery capabilities.

  • Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades as needed.

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with best practices.

  • Monitor the performance of Tableau dashboards and optimize them for speed and efficiency.


  1. Methodology Definition:

  • Define and document best practices for Tableau development, data visualization, and report design.

  • Establish governance policies, standards, and guidelines for the use of Tableau and Snowflake.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the fields of data analytics, business intelligence, and visualization.


  1. Development, New Features Implementation, Data Integration and Maintenance:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design new Tableau dashboards and reports.

  • Lead the development and implementation of new Tableau features and enhancements.

  • Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure seamless data integration with Tableau.

  • Regularly update and maintain data sources and connections.


  1. User Training and Support:

  • Provide training and support to Tableau users, from beginners to advanced analysts.

  • Promote self-service analytics and foster Tableau adoption across the organization.

  • Communicate Tableau capabilities and benefits to non-technical stakeholders.


Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience working with Tableau, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibilities including acting as system administrator and trainer.

  • Proficiency in data visualization best practices and design principles.

  • Excellent problem-solving, and project management skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with fluent English

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Data Science.

Advantage:

  • Tableau Admin certified

  • Data Analyst or BI/ETL developer with previous experience

  • Previous exposure to cloud-based data analytics platforms, such as AWS or Snowflake.

  • System Administration of additional tools
