The Business Technology (BizTech) team at Chainalysis creates intuitive, scalable, and secure technology experiences that accelerate Chainalysis’ growth and empower our employees to do their best work.

The Director, Business Systems role is responsible for business-critical enterprise SaaS platforms that enable Go To Market and Employee Life Cycle business processes within the company, especially the CRM (Salesforce) and ERP (Netsuite). Leaders who will excel in this role are able to craft a vision and strategy for the areas in their purview, while also clearly communicating that outwards to all of our business partners. They are empathetic towards and supportive of the team, taking the time to coach individual admins, engineers and managers, and are inquisitive about the technologies that we build, deploy, and manage. The ideal leader for this team leads with people first - whether that means a focus on the user experiences that we are crafting or the individuals on the team and their well-being and career growth.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Partner with your peers and business partners to build and deliver on a roadmap that balances our need for scale, maintains a high bar for user experience, and ensures the security of the company.

  • Work with admins and engineers within your team and across the company to determine the architecture and technology choices critical to the successful delivery of our critical business systems and end-experiences.

  • Implement strong technical fundamentals within your team that are demonstrated through automation efforts and solutions that improve the productivity of our users.

  • Attract, hire, and develop the people required to deliver on your roadmap, with a focus on adaptivity, resilience, and diversity.

We’re looking for candidates who have:

  • Demonstrated experience in roles of similar scope, preferably within technology companies, and ideally in roles in the SaaS, FinTech, or Cryptocurrency industries.

  • Background building around cloud-native environments and SaaS technologies.

  • Previous experience managing global distributed/remote teams with experience managing managers.

  • Strong knowledge of key business processes and operations associated with Go To Market, Quote To Cash, Accounting, and Financial Planning.

  • Understanding of regulatory concerns from government agencies, committees, laws and programs like CFIUS, DCSA, FedRamp and Sarbanes-Oxley.

  • Previous hands-on experience as a systems administrator on a Business Systems team centered around supporting Sales, Revenue and Finance stakeholders and end-users.

  • Exemplary stakeholder management skills and adept use of OKRs, QBRs and other mechanisms to prioritize initiatives.

  • Strong capacity management experience within an Agile-like environment.

  • Dedication to creating and maintaining technical documentation.

  • Are US citizens residing in the United States, with no plans to relocate to another country.

Nice to have experience:

  • Previous experience with establishing Separation of Duties as it relates to operational controls for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance

  • Strong knowledge of key business processes and operations associated with Human Capital Management

  • Establishment of RACIs or other methods to codify swimlanes between operations teams and business systems teams

  • Strong orientation for Agile ceremonies and practices including user stories, sprints, grooming and retrospectives

  • Enterprise architecture and data flow for core business systems

Technologies we use:

  • GTM: Marketo, Salesforce, Clari, and Outreach

  • Finance: NetSuite, Adaptive Insights, Coupa, Tesorio, Navan, ADP, Active Payroll

  • People: Workday, Ashby

  • Integrations: Workato
